New York -- Jonathan Rockefeller’s acclaimed production of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show” is proud to announce two special performances.
On Saturday, March 12, the cast will present an autism friendly show, and on Saturday, March 19, they will present a Spanish language show at the 47th Street Theatre.
In addition to the special performances and due to popular demand, the producers have also added a 4:30 pm (ET) show on Saturdays beginning February 20.
“The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show” features a menagerie of 75 puppets during a 60-minute show that faithfully adapts four of Eric Carle’s beloved books for the stage: “The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse,” “Mister Seahorse,” “The Very Lonely Firefly” and, of course, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.”
“Part of the brilliance of Eric Carle’s celebrated work is that it is enjoyed by children around the world, which is why we are excited to offer an Autism friendly and Spanish language performances this March to bring our production, which is very faithful to the books, to as wide an audience as possible,” Rockefeller said.
