Students in Florida retake exam after desks deemed too close
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A group of students at a central Florida high school have to retake their Advance Placement exams because their desks were too close together when they took the test a few weeks ago.
The Orlando Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1ToFzpy ) reports 114 of the 150 Lake Nona High School students were scheduled to retake the AP Psychology exam on Friday after an anonymous tipster reported the desk problem.
Orange County school district spokeswoman Shari Bobinski says officials from the College Board, which administers the exams, reviewed the photos of the room. They found that most of the desks were only 4 feet apart, rather than the required 5 feet.
Teacher Alessandra Gazzinelli told students she would provide breakfast and said they have an advantage since they've already taken the exam.
