Mobile App from Kelly Services® Assists Job Seekers

App provides job search management and geo-location capability

TROY, Mich. -- Kelly Services® (Nasdaq: KELYA, KELYB) today announced the launch of an innovative new mobile app, Kelly Jobs, that provides candidates the ability to manage their Kelly job search process wherever they are, using their favorite mobile devices.

The Kelly Jobs app offers job seekers the one-touch convenience of mobile, on-the-go access to a wide range of jobs and career-related tips and resources. It’s expected to appeal to candidates today, of whom 89 percent report they’re likely to use a mobile device during their job search according to a recent Glassdoor survey. The app is available in the App Store and Google Play and can also be accessed by visiting kellyservices.com/kellyjobsapp.

The app, which is configured for Apple (iOS) and Android phones, contains the same user-friendly functionality of Kelly’s proprietary career site, Kelly Career Network, such as social login and job sharing. Users can create and edit job alerts and are allowed multiple resume uploads that they can store within the app or on the cloud.

But it goes even further by also featuring advanced new “radar” functionality, which gives registered users “one-touch” access to jobs near them. Using the geo-location/GPS from the mobile device and saved job search criteria, candidates will be able search, save, share and apply to relevant jobs wherever they are, quickly, easily and conveniently.

Users of the Kelly Jobs app will also receive real-time job alerts right on their phones. They’ll have the ability to stay informed and up-to-date on the latest job trends and get career advice right from their smartphone.

“According to the Glassdoor survey, nine out of 10 job seekers report they’re likely to use a mobile device during their job search in the next 12 months,” said Jocelyn Lincoln, vice president, Recruitment Operations, Kelly Services. “This presents a perfect rationale for the release of our new Kelly Jobs app.” That same survey also revealed that 45 percent of job seekers say they use their mobile device specifically to search for jobs at least once a day, up two percentage points in less than a year.

The new app, which targets job seekers and career-minded professionals in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, gives Kelly Services a strong competitive advantage in the talent supply marketplace. According to Indeed, few employers have a mobile strategy in place. In fact, only a small percent of Fortune 500 businesses offer a mobile-friendly application process.
