Hilliard, OH -- Martin J. Mitchell Insurance, an Ohio-based consultancy, is embarking on a charity drive to help local nonprofit Charity Newsies generate donations of winter clothing for underprivileged children.
For more than a century, the mission of the Charity Newsies organization has been to ensure that no child misses school due to a lack of appropriate seasonal clothing. Because of this 100 percent of funds and clothing donated to Charity Newsies goes toward providing clothes for local schoolchildren, and the organization helps more than 11,000 underprivileged children per year with warm clothing for the winter school semester.
“Our overarching goal is to make sure that every child in our community is able to attend school and complete their education, and this charity event will make sure cooling temperatures don’t stand in the way,” said Martin Mitchell, founder and principal of Martin J. Mitchell Insurance.
The Mitchell team is pouring significant effort into connecting with local families, business owners and community leaders to help generate support for the Charity Newsies donation drive, including the recent construction of social media and email communication systems. Further publicity for the event is planned from the release of a headline article featuring the charity event, due to be published in the firm’s online magazine “Our Hometown” this month.
The Charity Newsies fund raising event marks the third charitable cause championed by the Martin J. Mitchell Insurance team since June. As new members of the national “Agents of Change” charity support initiative, the Mitchell team plans to assist a new regional nonprofit bimonthly.
